- Joy Parker - Love Her HonestyI loved reading this and getting a look into her life and her perspective on things. I love that she took the time to open up and share. It made me appreciate things a bit more to see that she is a concerned mother who also has a sensitive immune system. Who, also like myself, was on search for products that were safe and worked correctly without being left with a negative reaction. My kids are no longer little. 14, 12, & 10. (Time flies by too quickly.) I know first hand the effects of chemicals and children. Both my boys have ADHD and my two youngest have asthma and very sensitive skin. Without reading this book I would not have known about The Honest Company and their wonderful affordable products!!! Finally something that works and doesn't leave my family and I with negative reactions. Alan Dershowitz manages to provide an overview of his extraordinary life and legal career while also providing in depth analyses of the many important cases and issues in which he has been involved over his fifty year career. Dershowitz's conversational writing style makes for an enjoyable read by lawyers and non-lawyers alike.
Dershowitz uses many of his court cases as a backdrop to discuss the most important legal and social issues of our time. The book is filled with behind the scenes accounts and funny anecdotes about the author's more famous cases, but equally enjoyable and informative are the discussions of cases that did not dominate the national headlines. Dershowitz also provides an interesting account of how his background shaped his views and career. My favorite part of the book covered Dershowitz's judicial clerkships for Justice Arthur Goldberg and Judge David Bazelon.
I suggest that potential buyers take a quick look at the Table of Contents. You will be reminded of the bredth of the author's extraordinary career, and if you then decide to buy the book, you will be glad you did. - David B. Hohler "bike boy" - Great shoes!These shoes were my first entry into cleated biking shoes. I read through the previous reviews on sizing and quality before ordering and got shoes that fit perfectly (size 12 mens = 47). My only issue was that the instructions for mounting the cleats were vague, but actually attaching them was fairly intuitive. I bought shimano pedals that have SPD on one side and a regular platform on the other so that I don't always have to be clipped in. This has worked out very well, allowing me to unclip in really technical trail sections. Overall I couldn't be happier with my purchases.
